Singing fever continues to spread across Lancashire. The renowned school choir competition, ‘Last Choir Singing’, is preparing to bring Blackburn alive with music. Its climactic Grand Final, on 16 June, will feature some of Lancashire schools’ top singing talent.

Eleven young choirs will take to the stage as King George’s Hall in Blackburn plays host to their final showdown.

This year’s final promises to be exciting as the schools battle for first, second and third place as well as awards for ‘Artistic Expression’ and ‘Best Newcomer’.  With £1,000 in musical equipment vouchers up for grabs for the winner, each school is giving it their all.

George Critchley, Chairman of True Bearing, said: “Our firm are committed to giving something back to our community. The Last Choir Singing competition allows us to do just that. The competition gives young people the opportunity to gain some self-confidence and a ‘feel-good’ factor. They can sing their hearts out with a group of friends.

“The Last Choir Singing Grand Final promises to be an infectious celebration of school singing talent.”
