Simon Bowman and Jonathan Ansell will be joining us at the Last Choir Singing Final on Friday 19th June. Not only will they be part of our judging panel for the 12 choirs that go head to head but they will also be singing for us.

Simon, who captured the heart of many theatregoers when he played the role of Chris in the original production of Miss Saigon, has gone on to play many of the lead roles in the West End, including Che Guevara, Raoul and the Phantom in the Phantom of the Opera, Marius and Jean Valjean in Les Misérables. Simon was one of the four Valjeans in the televised Les Misérables 25th Anniversary concert along with Alfie Boe, Colm Wilkinson and John Owen-Jones.

Jonathan Ansell became famous when he took part in the very first X-Factor as part of G4. With 3 chart-topping albums and sell-out tours, G4 were very popular. When they split, Jonathan embarked on an extremely successful solo career. Over 2 million albums later, he is still touring and performing to people all around the world and, recently, has been reunited with his G4 members for their 2015 reunion tour.

Jonathan and Simon empathise fully with our choirs. Both know what it feels like to be about to perform on stage and understand how excited and nervous our choirs will be. Musical education is tremendously important and we are very grateful to both Simon and Jonathan to take time out of their busy schedules to show their support to our local choirs.
