‘Last Choir Singing’ Returns In 2018
Entries now open for all Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen Junior Schools.
Following the incredible success of the Last Choir Singing Competition since its launch in 2014, True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners are delighted to announce the 2018 competition is open for entries.
The competition is open to all junior school children, Year 3 – Year 6. The winning choir will receive £1,000 in vouchers towards music equipment for their school. Runners-up will receive £500 and £250 accordingly and winners of the regional heats will receive £250. In addition, prizes will also be given to the choirs who show artistic expression and for those who haven’t entered before, there is a ‘Best Newcomer’ award.
Each choir will compete in regional heats throughout March 2018, with the overall winners of the coveted title ‘Last Choir Singing 2018’ being announced at the Grand Final at King George’s Hall in Blackburn on Friday 15 June.
At the regional heats, competing choirs will perform in front of a live audience and expert judges, with the best performances taking the choirs through to the Final.

We are delighted to bring it back for a fourth year and we aim to increase the number of contestants. The UK has one of the most respected Choral traditions in the world and I am so proud to be part of that tradition with the creation, organisation and sponsorship of the Last Choir Singing competition.
“We wanted to give something back to a community that has supported our firm since 2003. As organiser and main sponsor, True Bearing is keen to raise awareness of singing in junior schools and to demonstrate that music education is alive and well in Lancashire!
“I encourage all Lancashire junior schools to take part.”
